Painted Fireplace
This is an unstyled photo of the fireplace in our living room. The fireplace was cleaned and painted before I used either a stencil brush or a rag to add texture. Before I painted the bricks , they went more with the carpet (that will go sometime - I hope). The bricks had a textured surface that came off when I tried to clean the soot off the bricks.

Hi Rebecca, The photographs are a great help, thanks so much for posting them! I like that the paint isn't saturated, giving it good texture. It's funny, we've lived with our glue-stained bricks for three years but now I can't wait to paint over them! Hopefully, if Hubby is willing to sign up for yet another house project of mine, we'll start working on it this weekend! Look forward to your new blog! ; ) Trina
